Doing these three things will massively decrease your stress levels and improve your health and wellbeing.

I'm sure you don't need me to tell you ( but I will anyway!) research shows that stopping work to stretch, play table tennis, or walk all increase your endorphine levels making you happier and more relaxed- especially if you can do some outside!

Table tennis

The speed, spin and placement of the ball are crucial in table tennis, and  players develop highly tuned skills in both creating and solving puzzles involving these three attributes.

Research in Japan shows a clear increase in motor skills and cognitive awareness, not to mention improving your hand eye co ordination and of course, burning calories!

Stretching

If you don’t sit properly (and let’s be honest many off us don’t) you could be reducing your blood circulation, especially in your legs. Remain seated, extend your legs and toes and reach down to touch them..

This one should be easy, as it’s the natural stretch that we all do when we’re feeling a bit stiff. Simply raise your arms above your head, interlock your fingers and push away to the ceiling. Feeling better yet?

This one’s for those of you who spend all day typing! Simply stand up and place your wrists on the desk so they face away from you, and apply pressure until you feel the stretch. Hold for a few seconds, and then follow with some good old Bucks Fizz wrist circles!

Walking

Whether you're working from the office or at home, the chances are you’re spending a minimum of 8 hours sitting down – that’s 40 hours plus a week.

I mean, think about it. You might drive to work, sit down at your desk for at least 6 hours, drive home, only to sit down to watch TV or read a book. Am I right?

Whether it's getting out of your chair to walk along corridors for 5 minutes or taking a bit more time out to walk outside, you need to be getting your limbs moving every few hours.
