For Lincolnshire Health and Social Care
What is
Thrive Academy?
Hello, we are so glad you are here.
Thrive Academy is a place for YOU, to focus on your wellbeing.
It is a programme of webinars, practical sessions and training for all staff in health and social care in Lincolnshire to help you feel calmer, beat stress and burnout and work well.
We have all been through an incredibly challenging and confusing couple of years with healthcare workers in particular being stretched to the limit.
Change is constant, the workload is still very high, and it feels like it's going to take a while to get back to normal - whatever that looks like.
For here and now you're in safe hands with us.
As a member of Thrive Academy, you will have access to a programme of resilience, productivity and wellbeing webinars, mindfulness sessions, reflective check-in and debrief sessions, and online resilience and leadership training all designed to help you feel better and work happier.
THE THRIVE ACADEMY IS HOSTED BY
Rachel & Becky
Dr Rachel Morris
A GP, Executive Coach, specialist in resilience at work and host of the popular 'You Are Not A Frog' podcast, sharing life hacks so healthcare professionals can beat burnout and work happier. Rachel created the Shapes Toolkit; a breakthrough programme of coaching, resilience and productivity tools which will make a huge difference to how you approach work and life.

Becky Balzano
An Emotional Wellbeing and resilience Coach with extensive experience in HR, leadership and wellbeing in the workplace.

You are invited to join us.
We have partnered with coaches and specialists in resilience, mindfulness and wellbeing at work, all with experience supporting healthcare professionals, to deliver sessions alongside time and permission to pause for Q & A, shared experience, topical news, useful, easy to access mini videos and in-depth resilience training.
Every month we’ll also have sessions that alternate between lunchtimes or evenings giving you more opportunity to attend. There is an invitation to think about the month's theme and make some small, simple changes that will help you to prioritise your own well-being.
On this website you can find:
A brief overview of the session types, the booking links (as some are limited on spaces), a Resources and FAQ section, as well as how to 'contact us' with any queries or concerns.
MAY'S THEME IS:
Key coaching tips to help you support your team
Many of us would like to be more ‘coach’ than ‘rescuer’; a concept that we cover in our Shapes Toolkit. How do we empower our team to be more autonomous so that we don’t end up doing everything for them and becoming stressed and overworked ourselves?!
One way is to have good boundaries and understanding of what lies within our responsibility, but we can also use some key questions with our colleagues to help them take ownership. Watch this short video from Culture and resilience coach Becky Balzano for more information.

Lincolnshire Staff Wellbeing Hub
As a response to the pressures NHS and social care staff face, particularly since the COVID pandemic, mental health hubs have been set up nationally to offer staff access to wellbeing resources, rapid clinical assessment and treatment. Information on this can be found on the following website.
www.lpft.nhs.uk/LincsStayingWell
If people feel they need more than self-help support, then they contact the hub via the email address, [email protected] or call the helpline number, 01522 518609, which is manned Monday-Friday 9-5 (messages can be left outside of these times). Through this, staff will be offered a comprehensive mental health assessment, be then referred, if necessary, to ongoing support from the relevant mental health service that best fits their needs. All NHS and Social care staff will be prioritised for treatment, and placed at the top of any waiting list, and the services are completely confidential. The support is available for all health and social care staff working in Lincolnshire to access, whether working full-time, part-time, bank and agency, as well as students on placement.
