What is
Thrive Academy?

Hello, we are so glad you are here.

Thrive Academy is a place for YOU, to focus on your wellbeing.

It is a programme of webinars, practical sessions and training for all staff in Health and Social Care in Lincolnshire to help you feel calmer, beat stress and burnout and work well.

We have all been through an incredibly challenging and confusing year with healthcare workers in particular being stretched to the limit.

Change is constant and the workload is still very high, and it feels like it's going to take a while to get back to normal - whatever that looks like.

For here and now you're in safe hands with us.

As a member of Thrive Academy, you will have access to a programme of resilience, productivity and wellbeing webinars, mindfulness sessions, reflective check-in and debrief  sessions, and online resilience and leadership training all designed to help you feel better and work happier.

THE THRIVE ACADEMY IS HOSTED BY

Rachel & Becky

Dr Rachel Morris

A GP, Executive Coach and specialist in resilience at work and host of the popular 'You Are Not A Frog' podcast, sharing life hacks so healthcare professionals can beat burnout and work happier. Rachel created the Shapes Toolkit - a breakthrough programme of coaching, resilience and productivity tools which will make a huge difference to how you approach work and life.

Becky Balzano

An Emotional Wellbeing and resilience Coach with extensive experience in HR, leadership and wellbeing in the workplace.

You are invited to join us.

We have partnered with coaches and specialists in resilience, mindfulness and wellbeing at work, all with experience supporting healthcare professionals, to deliver sessions alongside time and permission to pause for Q & A, shared experience, topical news, useful, easy to access mini videos and in-depth resilience training.

Every month we’ll also have sessions that alternate between lunchtime or in the evening giving you more opportunity to attend. There is an invitation to think about the month's theme and make some small, simple changes that will help you to prioritise your own well-being.

On this website you can find:

A brief overview of the session types, the booking links (as some are limited on spaces), a Resources and FAQ section, as well as how to 'contact us' with any queries or concerns.

Mindful Pause with Elinor Brown

Mindfulness is a natural capacity, available in all of us. It involves paying purposeful attention, with curiosity and kindness, to our present moment experience. Practising mindfulness does not stop life’s stressors, at the same time it can help us see clearly, resource ourselves and respond rather than react. It is an evidence-based approach for supporting well-being. Being fully present and bringing mindful awareness to our experience can give us more choice, help us navigate challenges and nurture ourselves and others.

This 45-minute online session is led by an experienced mindfulness teacher and includes guided gentle mindful movement and sitting practice, a short discussion and practical suggestions for building mindfulness into daily life. You are welcome whether you are new to mindfulness or have existing experience.

JUNE'S THEME IS:

Your Why

Throughout June as you embark on this programme we invite you to consider your WHY for spending time and energy on engaging in the Thrive Academy.

This is really important as without it you could lose focus and resent spending time on the sessions. Sometimes people come to ‘well-ness’ because they feel they ‘should’, have been ‘told’ to or because they know they want some kind of change but lack clarity on what is best for them. We encourage you this month to really focus on what this means for you, what specifically it will do for you, why you will do it, why it's important.

Watch this short video by Emotional Well-ness and resilience coach Becky Balzano to find out a little more about this theme and to get a great tool to help you find your WHY.
